censorit may be used to protect an Apple iPod Touch™ user by changing the Wi-Fi connection settings rather than the web browser settings. This will protect your children from inappropriate content, but only for Wi-Fi connections that you define, such as your home. If the media player connects to the Internet via friends Wi-Fi or a public Wi-Fi connection the device will bypass Censorit and allow unprotected Internet browsing.
The Apple iPod Touch™ lack of Parental Controls mean your son or daughter could remove the censorit settings and browse the Internet at home without censorit’s protection. Fortunately you’ll soon spot these changes when you login to your personal Censorit account as the Activity Monitoring report will show that the device is no longer used to browse the Internet |
